The Policy includes:

Safety recommendations are provided for informational purposes and are not mandatory requirements. Prohibited conduct and other expressly stated rules establish obligations applicable to Members when using the Services.
This Policy supplements our Terms of Use Agreement and should be read together with our other applicable policies, including our Refund and Cancellation Policy and Privacy Policy.
1. Safety Guidance
Online dating involves interacting with people whose identities, intentions, and personal circumstances may not always be known to you. We encourage Members to exercise reasonable caution when communicating with others through our Services.
The following recommendations are intended to help Members recognize potential risks and make informed decisions when interacting with others online. They are advisory in nature and do not constitute mandatory conditions for using our Services.
1.1. Protect Your Personal Information and Account
- Never share your password, access to your account, or any official identity document with anyone.
- Avoid including your last name, email address, home address, telephone number, workplace, or other identifying information in your profile or initial communications.
- Stop communicating with anyone who pressures you for personal or financial information or attempts in any way to trick you into revealing it.
1.2. Communicate Safely with Other Members
- Never send money to another Member, regardless of the reason provided.
- Clearly state your expectations to avoid misunderstandings.
- Conduct video chats with your communication partner from time to time to become better acquainted, while remembering that video communication does not guarantee a person’s identity or intentions.
- Remember that information provided in dating profiles may be inaccurate or misleading. Anyone who is able to commit identity theft may also be able to falsify a dating profile.
- Exercise caution when communicating with people you have not met in person. There is no substitute for acting cautiously when interacting with strangers online.
- If you choose to have a face-to-face meeting with another member, always tell someone in your family or a friend where you are going and when you will return. Never agree to be picked up at your home. Always provide your own transportation to and from your date and meet in a public place with many people around.
1.3. Recognize Common Online Scams
Be aware that scammers may use online dating platforms to obtain money, personal information, or access to your accounts. We recommend taking particular care in the following situations:
- Never send money to another Member, including through cryptocurrency, gift cards, wire transfers, or payment applications. Be cautious of requests to receive, hold, or transfer funds on someone else’s behalf.
- Be suspicious of Members who promote investment opportunities, cryptocurrency trading, or schemes promising unusually high or guaranteed returns.
- Never share passwords, verification or account-recovery codes, or allow another Member to access your devices through remote-access software.
- Avoid opening unfamiliar links, downloading attachments, or installing software sent by other Members, particularly when the sender pressures you to act urgently.
- Be cautious of anyone claiming to represent us, our Website, its Support Team, financial institutions, or other organizations and requesting payments, sensitive information, or account access.
- Exercise caution if another Member pressures you to move your conversation to an external messaging service, particularly when accompanied by requests for money, personal information, or other suspicious behavior.
These warning signs do not necessarily establish fraudulent conduct on their own. However, they may indicate potential risks and should be considered in the context of the Member’s overall behavior.
1.4. Conduct That, Standing Alone, Does Not Establish a Scam
Certain circumstances or behaviors may cause concern but do not, by themselves, establish that another Member has engaged in fraudulent or deceptive conduct. Examples include:
- Translation errors or inaccuracies in messages or correspondence.
- A Member not answering every question in a message.
- A Member deciding to discontinue communication or no longer pursue a relationship.
- A Member having photographs of relatives, friends, former partners, or other personal information on social media.
- A Member wearing a ring, which does not necessarily indicate that the person is married.
- A Member using a nickname or chosen profile name.
These circumstances should be considered in context. They do not automatically exclude the possibility of fraud or other violations, particularly where additional evidence or patterns of suspicious behavior are present.
2. Verification & Criminal Background Screening
2.1. Identity Verification
All Members are encouraged, and some are required, to verify their accounts, and our team may perform checks to reduce fraudulent activity.
Members can confirm their identity and get the ‘verified’ sign. To be verified, a Member must pass a verification process, which includes submitting a government-issued ID and passing a biometric verification process through SumSub.
The verification process is conducted through SumSub and requires the Member to:
- submit a government-issued identification document;
- take a real-time selfie; and
- provide a photograph used on or intended for the Member’s profile.
SumSub compares the photograph appearing on the identification document with the real-time selfie and the profile photograph to assess whether they depict the same person.
A verification badge indicates that the Member successfully completed the identity and biometric verification checks at the time of verification. While these checks are intended to confirm that the submitted identification document, real-time selfie, and profile photograph correspond to the same person, they do not guarantee the Member’s background, intentions, future conduct, or the accuracy of other information provided in their profile or communications.
Members are permitted to use a nickname or chosen profile name. A profile name is not required to correspond to the legal name appearing on the Member’s identification document. The legal name and other information contained in the identification document are not displayed on the Member’s public profile merely because the Member has completed verification.
The verification is valid for the next six months after the verification is passed. After six months, a Member needs to re-verify their account by passing the SumSub verification process again. If the reverification process is not completed, the verification mark is removed.
We require that Free Users be verified every six months through an online system that reviews identity documents and ensures that the person providing the identity documents is the same.
2.2. Criminal Background Screening
OUR SERVICES DO NOT CONDUCT CRIMINAL BACKGROUND SCREENINGS ON ITS MEMBERS.
Our Services do not verify whether Members have criminal records or have previously been convicted of criminal offenses. The identity verification process described above does not include criminal background screening.
Accordingly, a Verified badge should not be interpreted as confirmation that a Member has undergone a criminal background check, has no criminal history, or does not pose a risk to other Members.
We encourage Members to follow the recommendations in Section 1 (Safety Guidance) and report suspected fraudulent, abusive, or otherwise harmful behavior through the reporting channels described in Section 4 (Reporting and Review).
2.3. Other Safety Measures
In addition to identity verification, our Services may use moderation, reporting mechanisms, and other safety measures to identify and address potentially fraudulent, abusive, or prohibited conduct.
We also take measures to protect Members’ personal information against unauthorized access, collection, use, or disclosure, as further described in our Privacy Policy.
These measures are intended to support a safer online environment but do not guarantee that all Members’ identities, statements, or conduct have been independently verified, or that all potentially harmful activity will be detected or prevented.
3. Prohibited Conduct
Our Services prohibit activities and content that violate our Terms of Use Agreement or threaten the safety, security, or well-being of Members.
As further described in our Terms of Use Agreement, prohibited content and activities include, but are not limited to:
- Offensive content, including racism, hatred, and promotion of violence;
- Harassment, threats, and emotional coercion, including threats of self-harm used to manipulate other Members;
- Spam and unsolicited communications;
- Defamatory, misleading, fraudulent, or otherwise unlawful content and activities;
- Copyright infringement;
- Restricted or hidden content;
- Inappropriate material, including pornography, graphic violence, and criminal activity;
- Exploitation and human trafficking;
- Instructions facilitating illegal activities;
- Solicitation of sensitive personal or financial information; and
- Unauthorized commercial activities.
3.1. Zero Tolerance Towards Exploitation and Human Trafficking
Our Services maintain a zero-tolerance policy toward all forms of exploitation and human trafficking.
Members must not use the Services to recruit, groom, coerce, threaten, blackmail, exploit, sell, exchange, or facilitate the trafficking or exploitation of any person, including sexual exploitation, forced labor, or modern slavery.
This prohibition also covers the solicitation, promotion, or facilitation of prostitution, escort services, or other commercial sexual exploitation, as well as assisting others in such activities or attempting to conceal them or evade detection.
We cooperate with law enforcement authorities and anti-trafficking organizations, as appropriate, to investigate and address suspected violations. Members are encouraged to report suspicious behavior or content immediately.
3.2. Protection of Minors
Our Services are intended exclusively for individuals aged 18 or older.
Any conduct involving the sexualization, grooming, solicitation, sexual or violent exploitation, or abuse of persons under 18 is strictly prohibited. This includes creating, sharing, requesting, or facilitating access to content depicting or promoting such exploitation, as well as attempting to facilitate or conceal these activities.
4. Reporting and Review
Members are encouraged to report suspected fraud, harassment, threats, exploitation, human trafficking, or other conduct that may violate this Policy or our Terms of Use Agreement.
Reports may be submitted through the reporting features available on our Services, or via Live Support (for registered users only) or by using the "Contact Us" email form.
If you believe that another Member has scammed or defrauded you, you may submit a complaint through either of these channels. If your claim is approved, you may be eligible for reimbursement of Credits spent communicating with the Member concerned, subject to the conditions set out in Section 6 (Reimbursements and Credits).
When submitting a report, Members are encouraged to provide relevant information and supporting materials, such as the profile concerned, a description of the incident, relevant communications, or screenshots, where available. This information may help us assess the reported conduct.
We review reported safety concerns and suspected violations based on the information available and the nature and seriousness of the reported conduct.
Depending on the circumstances, our review may involve examining relevant account information, communications, content, verification status, or other available evidence, as permitted by applicable law and our Privacy Policy.
We may request additional information from the reporting Member or other relevant parties where necessary to assess the report.
Submitting a report does not automatically establish that a violation has occurred or entitle the reporting Member to reimbursement.
Where a violation is identified or a safety risk warrants intervention, we may take appropriate measures in accordance with Section 5 (Enforcement) of this Policy.
Where a report concerns conduct potentially eligible for reimbursement of Credits, the applicable conditions and procedures are described in Section 6 (Reimbursements and Credits).
We may limit the information disclosed about our review or its outcome where necessary to protect Members’ privacy, the integrity of our safety measures, or other legitimate interests, subject to applicable law.
5. Enforcement
Where a Member violates this Policy or our Terms of Use Agreement, or where a safety risk is identified, we may, depending on the nature and seriousness of the conduct, take appropriate measures, including issuing warnings, removing prohibited content or communications, restricting access to certain Services, temporarily suspending an account, or terminating the Member’s Membership.
We may also preserve relevant evidence and, where appropriate, report suspected unlawful activities to competent authorities or take legal action, in accordance with applicable law. Enforcement measures may be taken without prior warning where necessary to address serious or immediate safety risks, subject to applicable legal requirements.
6. Reimbursements and Credits
If a Member is found to have engaged in any of the following conduct, we will reimburse all Credits spent communicating with that Member, provided that the Member responsible for the violation had a Verified account status:
- Impersonation: A Member uses another person’s profile or identity without authorization to communicate with you.
- Requests for Money or Expensive Gifts: A Member requests money or expensive gifts from you.
- Deliberate Misrepresentation: A Member deliberately misrepresents their age, whether they have children, gender, or marital status in their profile.
Members found responsible for violations described in items 2 and 3 will also be permanently banned from our Services.
The reimbursement commitment above applies only to violations committed by Members with Verified account status. Verification is described in Section 2.1 of this Policy.
We may, at our sole discretion, provide reimbursement in other circumstances, including where the Member concerned was not Verified. Such requests are assessed individually based on the available information and relevant circumstances.
If you believe you have been scammed or otherwise qualify for reimbursement under this Section, you may submit a report through the channels described in Section 4 (Reporting and Review). We will review the report and relevant circumstances to determine whether reimbursement is warranted.
Reimbursements under this Section are separate from any statutory refund rights. Nothing in this Policy limits any rights or remedies available to Members under applicable consumer protection laws.
